Andrea Rocca is an Italian artist and designer, born and raised in Milan, the city where he began his professional and artistic career.
After graduating as an advertising graphic designer at the IED European Institute of Design in Milan, he directs his studies towards an advertising career, working freelance as an illustrator, designer and advertiser.
The various and numerous personal and professional experiences in Italy and abroad have contributed to the construction and evolution of a new eclectic and creative artistic identity. Towards the end of the 90s the previous experiences are consolidated in a mature style, confirming the choice of painting as a privileged means of expression.
Wood, canvas and everyday objects are the preferred media for portraying historical brands and still life, works that Andrea creates in mixed media with an extremely personal pop taste, ranging from figurative painting, installations, American graphics and the abstract.
From the choice of subjects, the attraction that binds the artist to the world of entertainment shines through, leading him to touch fashion, advertising, comics, cinema and music.
Consecrated emblems of the Star System are reinterpreted through an original and powerful use of color.
The incisiveness of the lines and the audacity of the chromatic choice make the strength of the warm colors the true protagonist of the image.
Andrea Rocca exhibits in various art galleries and public or private exhibition spaces, has participated in various group and personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
